Role
As a full-stack engineer, you will build systems that automate complex knowledge work and achieve levels of performance previously considered unattainable. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining scalable pipelines to support the automation of language model training, evaluation, and deployment processes.
- Designing, implementing, and managing robust APIs to facilitate access to fine-tuned language models, ensuring scalability and security for high-stakes applications.
- Building and growing the engineering organization, setting a high bar of excellence to propel forward.
- Tackling unsolved product and engineering challenges, particularly focusing on language models in production.
Qualifications
We're seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to build world-class software products, particularly emphasizing backend systems and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in statically typed backend frameworks (e.g., Java, Golang, Typescript, C++), with Python proficiency as a plus.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ideally with NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (e.g., Github Actions, CircleCI, Cloud Build, etc.).
- Proven experience in implementing scalable pipelines for AI model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Solid grasp of algorithms and data structures.
- A product-driven engineering approach, focused on delivering exceptional outcomes.
- Nice to have: Experience as an early engineer at a fast-growing startup, and interest in and thoughtfulness about the impacts of AI technology.

Compensation
- Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
