Fullstack Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

As a Full stack Engineer, you'll be an early member of the team, tasked with building key features for our open-source data engine, Daft. Your responsibilities will span across the entire stack, from developing the Daft frontend API and dashboard to enhancing its distributed scheduler and low-level Rust execution engine. Our objective is to create the world’s premier open-source distributed query engine, and your contributions will be instrumental in realizing this vision.

Given our status as a young startup, expect to wear multiple hats, including infrastructure tinkering, customer interactions, and active involvement in the core design process of our product.

What We Look For:

We seek candidates with a solid foundation in full stack engineering and a relentless commitment to user-centric solutions. Our ideal candidate possesses:

• 3+ years of experience in full stack engineering, encompassing web applications, cloud infrastructure, and databases.
• A unique startup growth mindset, characterized by a willingness to strategically incur technical debt for velocity and build for future extensibility.
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS S3.
