About the Role
You'll assume a pivotal role in shaping our platform, steering the technical direction of our company. This hands-on position entails working across our entire stack, from frontend to backend, collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and founders. Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the team to architect and implement our backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
- Work alongside engineers and designers to craft a user-friendly, intuitive platform that addresses our customers' needs.
- Contribute to defining and executing the technical roadmap for our platform, striking a balance between technical debt and innovation to ensure alignment with our business objectives.
- Innovate, extend, and maintain development processes, tools, and workflows.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, ideally focusing on scalable and reliable web applications, preferably within a pre-Series B startup. Experience in team management is a plus.
- Proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework; preference for experience with React and Next.js.
- Strong proficiency in Python, along with familiarity with at least one Python backend framework.
- Experience with AWS, with knowledge of AWS cost and billing being advantageous.
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Enjoyment in creating prototypes and experimenting quickly.
