We are on the lookout for a Senior Unity Engineer (3D) to join our ambitious team, focusing on the development and optimization of immersive 3D experiences for mobile platforms. This role is at the heart of our project, which involves creating dynamic, customizable avatars. Your responsibilities will include implementing physics-based hair dynamics, bone-based lip-syncing, enhancing shader performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of our Unity scenes on mobile devices.
Requirements
- Engineer solutions for dynamic hair that naturally responds to animations, working in collaboration with our modeling and rigging specialists to seamlessly integrate hairstyles onto avatars
- Collaborate with AI engineers to design and trigger animations based on conversational contexts, aiming to elevate the user experience to new heights of immersion
- Implement realistic lip-syncing by integrating visemes and phonemes with the control mechanisms of our character rigs, exploring the most effective methodologies
- Take on shader optimization and development, ensuring optimal performance on mobile devices and providing insights on potential performance trade-offs
- Innovate in the realm of dynamic clothing and hair customization, devising efficient loading and integration strategies to minimize storage requirements on devices
- Focus on mobile performance optimization, identifying potential inefficiencies and spearheading improvements
- Tackle a broad range of tasks, including some that extend beyond 3D graphics programming, with an understanding of Unity front-end development principles
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Unity programming, with a strong emphasis on 3D graphics
- Over 2 years of experience in developing Unity-based games or applications for iOS/Android platforms
- Demonstrated proficiency in Unity's packages, systems, and workflows, including Addressable, URP, and multithreading
- Expertise in C#, with a comprehensive understanding of Unity development practices and challenges
