Job Description
We are seeking an Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) Developer to join our ambitious project aimed at creating one of the largest Virtual Reality Multiplayer games for standalone VR devices. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in C++ programming, game mechanics, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of VR technology. The ideal candidate is self-disciplined, organized, and has a portfolio that showcases their skills and commercial experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Programming game mechanics and features in UE4 using Blueprints and C++.
- Working in a team to develop and implement high-quality game features for VR applications.
- Assisting in the design, implementation, and iteration of game systems and mechanics.
- Utilizing knowledge of VR technology to enhance the user's immersive experience.
- Optimizing, profiling, and debugging game systems to ensure smooth performance.
- Working with version control systems (e.g., git) to manage codebase and collaborate with the team.
- Continuously testing, documenting, and refining game features throughout the development cycle.
Requirements
- Proven experience in programming in C++.
- Experience in programming game mechanics and features in UE4 with Blueprints and C++.
- Previous commercial experience in a similar role.
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant skills and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of VR technology.
- General understanding of 3D and 2D game development.
- Experience in optimizing, profiling, and debugging.
- Demonstrated discipline and self-reliance, with an organized work style.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably git.
Nice to Have
- Experience in building code architecture from scratch.
- A portfolio that includes personal projects/commercial games.
- A technical degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field.
- Knowledge of software design patterns.
- Experience in graphics programming (shaders).
- Familiarity with AR/MR technology.
