As our Unreal Technical Artist, you are the lynchpin in advancing the precision and efficiency of our autonomous vehicle simulation utilities. Your role demands unparalleled expertise in Unreal, as well as the adeptness to streamline associated pipelines. As a part of a vibrant team of engineers and technical artists, your contributions will be pivotal in shaping the realms of games, Visual FX, autonomous systems, and robotics.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to technical authority on Unreal Engine
- Spearhead optimization of rendering performance
- Oversee the design and maintenance of blueprint setups
- Enhance and create versatile material components and bespoke shader logic catering to Lidar, Radar, Infrared, etc
- Construct intricate real-time engine logic
- Innovate workflows for crafting photorealistic content
- Champion team education on contemporary best practices
- Collaborate closely with simulation engineers to ascertain high-fidelity model generation
Requirements
- 6+ years of crafting environments utilized in shipped products
- Mastery over at least one 3D DCC tool (preferably multiple) such as Maya or Houdini
- Expertise in Unreal Engine or equivalents
- Solid grounding in Python and game pipelines
- Comprehensive understanding of shaders, materials, real-time game engine logic, and optimization
Advantageous Attributes
- Prior experience in conceptualizing virtual worlds for AV simulation
- Expertise in photogrammetry and related methodologies for environment recreation
- Familiarity with other real-time engines like Frostbite or Unity
- Proficiency in C++ and HLSL/GLSL
